There we will have an experimental setup with VJ Johnny Totem, testing vj-set with Insta360 camera, Kinect, Z-Vector app, all through Resolume 6. BYOB (Bring Your Own Beamer) " BYOB (Bring Your Own Beamer) Sunday 7 January 2018, 4pm-8pm Kaapelitehdas (Cable Factory), Valssaamo and Puristamo halls Tallberginkatu 1 Age limit: 18 Lux Helsinki once again brings the international Bring Your Own Beamer (BYOB) happening to Finland on Sunday 7 January 2018. The first BYOB happening during Lux Helsinki 2017 attracted hundreds of visitors, who filled the space with their own amazing light and video installations. BYOB is a one-night exhibition in which participants get to present their art using their own projectors (beamers). Anything goes, as long as it is projected: from video art to VJ sets, slideshows to home videos. The BYOB concept was created by Dutch digital artist Rafaël Rozendaal. The first event was held in Berlin in 2010. Since then BYOB happenings have been held around the world, from New York and Cape Town to Moscow and Tokyo. Lux Helsinki invites everyone who is interested in light-based media art to bring your own demos or completed projects to the Cable Factory on Sunday 7 January starting from 4pm. Of course, you can also come to see the art, enjoy the atmosphere and meet new people! The bar will be open and the music will be playing. The minimum age for this event is 18. There is a wheelchair ramp by the Puristamo hall."
